Poured a medium to deeper copperish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of some smoked meats, caramel, and rye. Tastes of caramel, some smokiness, rye bread, and some light spiciness. The smoke was stronger than the aroma and on the subtle side in the tastes. I did like the rye in this. jcwattsrugger (5582), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Aroma of grainy rye and nice smoky caramel sweetness. Body starts fairly full and toasty caramely sweet with a good balance of smokiness before a slightly drier bittersweet doughy finish. Very authentic and true to style, an enjoyable brew.
