jsquire (2087), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Nov 9, 2009 Hazy yellow color with a small white head. Big, spicey banana clove nose. Very flavorful German wheat beer. Lots of banana, orange peel, clove and some lemon citrus. Nice and refreshing. Thanks to craftbeerdesign for the bottle. WVHouseofBeer (339), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Nov 8, 2009 Got a strange smell of peanuts from the Sunray. Maybe its because Georgia is basically bleeding with them, but quite unique for a wheat ale. The signature cloudy body and slightly clove flavor, rather weak for a wheat ale, doesn’t hold much in the range of flavor but all other aspects are on par. grandet (477), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 7, 2009 Bottle from jessup plaza. Poured a light yellow color with a big white head. Aroma is somewhat funky with notes of clove and some citrus. Taste is light and refreshing but not much in terms of flavor. Slight clove flavor but thats about it. Refreshing but not great. bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 7, 2009 This brew went down real easy and smooth. Aside from that it wasn’t very good. It had no real characteristics of its style aside from being slightly cloudy. jport4087 (73), Pennsylvania, USA Oct 25, 2009 Pours a very hazy pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma is clove, banana, honey, some wheat, and some peppery hops. Flavor is wheat, honey, clove, banana, and a peppery finish. adavis234 (133), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Oct 17, 2009 12 oz bottle. Golden, fizzy pour with a strong, spicy citrus wheat aroma. Flavor is light and crisp but a bit thin, surprisingly so compared to the aroma. Too much carbonation and not enough flavor. Has a bit of a sour finish. Mediocre at best. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 7, 2009 Cloudy straw color with a fizzy white head that disappears very quickly. Definitive aroma of banana, clove and cereal. Flavor is weak. Watery. Some spice and banana with a slightly tart ending. Not much. brigg (213), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Oct 4, 2009 (bottle) A lively, rapidly dissipating head and cloudy yellow-orange body. The aroma has clove, banana, bubble gum, and notes of honey; shorter on the spice, and longer on the sweetness, but it’s a good aroma. Light bodied and thin. Flavor is weaker than I expected, slightly watery. I can taste the banana and honey, though. A little disappointing after the other fantastic beers I’ve had from Terrapin. It is refreshing and thirst-quenching, though, which is something what a good German wheat should be.
