Commercial Description:
The Sunray Wheat is a German style unfiltered wheat beer brewed with a touch of local, Georgia Coast, Tupelo honey from the Savannah Bee Company. It’s inviting banana/sweet clove like aroma gives way to a pleasant, clean finish with a hint of tartness.

Pours a cloudy light golden color with fizzy head that fades quickly. Aroma of wheat, hint of banana and malts. Similar taste with some honey as well. Nice finish. A nice surprise, definitely the best low alc Terrapins I’ve tried thus far.

On tap at Tyler’s, Durham. Nice looking cloudy orange pour in a tall weiss glass. Not as much carbonation as you’d expect, but a decent head nonetheless. Grass, honey, and soft fruit in the nose. Mouthfeel’s a bit average, but the flavors are nice, with a bit more sweetness than the average wheat. The honey certainly proves a nice addition, and I’d certain have this again.

Tap at Tylers’s Durham, NC. Hazy bright gold pour fizzy white head and spotty lace. Aroma dominated by honey. Grains, honey, and citrus upfront. Yeasty finish

Bottle at the ’09 Fish Fry. Pours hazy light yellow with bubbly white head. The aroma is wheat, some honey, lemon, and even a sweet berry hint. The flavor is lemonbread, a light spiciness, and some orange. There’s a mild earthiness to the finish. Pretty good for what it is.

Hazy gold with a decent white head. Aroma is malty with a whiff of wheat. Flavor is slightly sour and grainy wheat with a touch of citrus. Not bad.

Draft at the Terrapin 7th Anniversary Party. Pours a hazy gold color with a white head. Aromas of lemons, wheat, yeast and honey. Flavors are lemons and honey. This is a solid wheat beer for an unappreciated style.

bottle at the Hop City Grand Opening party on 4/2/09... pours a deep golden with average white head... big honey aromas along with some banana and slight citrus. very pleasant body filled with these light fruit notes and some spice. medium body... solid flavorful finish... this is a solid wheat ale... much better than I was expecting.
