| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 24, 2009 12 ounce bottle - $4.75 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia. Best Before the 1st week in the 8th month.
Appearance: Pours a well hazed, hay-hued body with a small, white head despite an enthusiastic, eager pour.
Smell: Pleasantly scented union of fresh honey, citrus zest, banana pulp, and spices ground up via a mortar and pestle all wrapped up with a lightly-tangy aroma of malted wheat.
Taste: Wheat malt seasoned with spices and accompanied by a fair amount of good, wholesome honey sweetness. Tiny pinch of citrus. Squished ripe bananas. The earthy spices and mild hop bitterness to a decent job at tempering the sweetness. Drying, lengthy finish with hints from all of the various flavors riding out into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Slight, silky creaminess to the mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Easy on the alcohol but plenty flavorful. Loads of summertime appeal here. I enjoyed this one and I’m fairly fussy regarding wheat-based beers. jzzbassman (850), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
