Bottle sent by Jabic in trade. Thanks! Silky pour, pitch black color with a thick, cascading beige head. Nice aroma of creamed coffee and dark chocolate. Some bitter roastiness. Flavor follows up the aroma pretty spot on, with a bit of a brown sugar sweetness. A nice touch of dry smokiness finishes up at the end. Thick, chewy body that epitomizes an Oatmeal Imperial Stout. Very enjoyable.

This isn’t a super-coffee stout, it’s more on the stout end of things in terms of body and sweetness, with a coffee kick thrown in. I liked this better than Bell’s Java Stout which seems more comparable than the heavily coffee flavored Founders. Although Founders is the better beer, this one’s not bad.

Tried this after the mikkeller beer geek weasel and founders breakfast stout and it didn’t compare favorably. Chocolate, coffee, oatmeal, worse mouthfeel than in the aforementioned beers, the roasty taste is pretty light compared to them too. Hints of something unpleasant in both the aroma and the taste, something that does go with the coffee taste. Strange.

Black colored brew, oily pour. Nice bunred coffee aroma. Nice espresso taste in the flavor too, maybe a bit too much for some. Some sweet chocolate flavor and oatmeal maltyness. Overall nice.

Wow, this is hearty good stuff- more coffee than a Columbian field and creamier than any oatmeal or cream stout that I have ver had. It also has the darkest head I have ever seen and a smell and flavor that lasts forever. Plus, it grows a nice caramelly swill in the bottom of your glass. $10.00 four pack at Sunset Corners Miami,

Taste 3/9 bottle. Looks: Black bottom with a thin tan top. Aroma: Deep roasted espresso and chocolate. Taste: Straight forward. Coffee, toasted malt and chocolate with a silky oatmeal mouthfeel.

Espresso aroma, coffee and sweet chocolate flavor this one is OK will have more. If you like this try Good People’s Oatmeal Stout or Emerald Coast Seaweed Porter.
