big roasted aroma with tons of taste. A good choice for a cold day. Nice appearance of hops for the style.

Appearance: A midnight brown with a ring of suds gathered at the top. Aroma: Foldgers instant coffee crystals and a little bit of semi-sweet chocolate. Taste: Foldgers coffee, semi-sweeet chocolate and little bit of a berry twang (if this was coffee, I would associate it with an acidic note). Mouthfeel: Silky, coating and very carbonated. Overall: I am really into coffee. I drink a nice sized serving a day. I love dark roasted beans from Peets, Starbucks, and Trader Joes. I haven’t had Foldgers since I worked for my dad as a teenager. Foldgers isn’t undrinkable, but it isn’t that good. It has a unique roastiness, and it’s all my senses could come up with when drinking this beer.

POurs deep black with a nice full body. Notes oc Cap/Coffee and light smoke. The mouthfeel has a nice balance with the oat body and some really nice chocolate notes. Good long finish.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick black and oily with a small very dark brown head. The aroma was roasty, malty, toasty with coffee and light touches of smoke, wood, and floral hops. The flavor was sweetish, roasty and grainy with notes of coffee, chocolate and wood. There was a long roasty coffee finish. The mouthfeel was thick. Very Good.

Coffee up front. Sweet taste takes this great beer through the full cycle of a perfect combo of malt and coffee to end with a clean finish. Almost perfect. This beer does not sit jaunitly in the back of the throat much to my dismay. "I am switching from coffee to this beer!"

12 oz. bottle. At first I thought I was pouring out used motor oil. Small, dark brown head that dissipates into an espresso like lacing. I can smell this one from two feet away! Espresso, chocolate, licorice, roasted oats, coffee, it’s all there. Low carbonation, but wow!, talk about thick! Nice and oily too. Big coffee flavors up front, lots of roasted oates, vanilla, chocolate malt. Lots of layered flavor but a clean aftertaste. Like a great chocolate coffee oatmeal cookie. A must try!

Bottle. Poured black with very thin brown head. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate and alcohol, coffee comes thru more as it warms. Flavor is well balanced roasted malt and coffee with a good amount of alcohol. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. Medium body and very smooth. Excellent!

12 oz. bottle bonused by Beerlando in our first trade awhile back. Pours a very thick pitch black pour with moderate brownish head that laces well and is nice and thick consistency. Aromas hit me out of the bottle: nice fresh ground coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, a creamy sweetness that takes some of the roasted edge off, vanilla, and some dark fruit? Initial is thicker bodied, but not overly, a nice blending of roast coffee and roasted malts on the palate, balanced by an underlying vanilla and chocolate sweetness, creaminess. Nice roast and bitterness balance the finish, making the sweetness blend better. A bit thinner than the Imperial Stout fare I’ve been having lately, but still pretty damn good. I liked it. Cheers!
