Oct 31, 2009 Bottle. Labeled VINTAGE08AA. Black pour. Short dense brown head. Aroma is strong coffee, burnt brownies, dark, roasted malt and oatmeal. Taste is strong dark, oily coffee beans, roasted malts, light molasses, dark chocolate and oatmeal. Body is thick and chewy with a dense, prickly carbonation. Ends with more dark, oily coffee beans, roasted malts, bittersweet chocolate, chocolate cake, and burnt oatmeal.

Oct 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours a black body with a tan coffee head. Malty full bodied, chocolate and fudge notes. Fresh roast coffee with a light oatmeal body and a mild roasted warming. Nice beer!

Oct 10, 2009 Bottle thanks to FlssmrBrewAlum..Pours a thick pitch black with a orange brown head.. Aroma is fresh ground coffee and earth.. Flavor is coffee, chocolate and dark malts.. Thick with nice carbonation.

Oct 6, 2009 (bottle) A black body and small, disappearing head. Aroma sweet and slightly bitter with dark roasted coffee and malt, earth, alcohol. Full, creamy body. Flavor is sweet with milky coffee and chocolate, nuts, wood, dried fruit. Very smooth; bitterness only kicks in at the back but lingers in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is sticky, and chewy.

Oct 4, 2009 12 oz bottle served in a clear pint glass. Pour was motor oil black with about 2 fingers of slushy like tan head. Nose was French roasted coffee, malt, and chocolate. Taste was black coffee with a small hunk of chocolate melted in there for just a slight sweetness, so that it doesn’t taste sugared down for effect. Very strange, more of a coffee liquor, though not strong, than a beer. I was surprised because it tasted like a 13% ++ ABV, rather than 8.1%. Though not bad, I am not a big fan of this.

Oct 2, 2009 bottle coutesy of daknole, thank you! pours a very thick black pur with almost no head. nose is of a very nutty, rich rosied cup of coffee. but there is a slight acetone finish to the nose. flavor is nice and roasty, but has a hotness as if it were 14%abv or something, slightly odd. still a damn good beer, should maybe be waxed or corked.

Sep 26, 2009 12oz bottle from Joe at Hangar 24. Rating #582. Super dark pour with a small head. Nice coffee and chocolate aroma. Very smooth and silky, a little dry, and flavorful as hell, outstanding brew. )
