From a 12oz bottle. Pours thick and black, like motor oil. Minimal head, aroma of heavy coffee and a little bit "off." Can’t quite put my finger on it. Taste is off as well, kind of like old coffee grinds, and not very good ones at that. Overall, extremely disappointed with this beer. I’ve had it in years past when it was actually called "Wake-n-Bake", but this is just bad.

Bottle. Pours dark, with ruby edges, and has a small brown head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Flavor is very malty, chocolate, coffee, slight cream. Little bit of bitterness from the roasted malt, aftertaste of saccharin.

2007 neck label. Dark beer with a foamy brown head. Nose of espresso coffee, toffee and bitter chocolate. The flavor is also dominated by the coffee, with lots of chocolate, white sugar, caramel corn, vanilla and butter. Smooth, almost slick, mouthfeel. Big beer with tons of flavor. If you like your coffee and your beer at the same time, this is your drink.

Bottle. Pours a thick black with no head at all. Very fragrant aroma of something almost like sweet cream and of course coffee. Very easy to drink and enjoy flavor to it and easy on the palate. I like it a lot.

Dark, sweet and very good. This is like an imperial oatmeal coffee stout all in one. It has a great flavor that has to be tried to be believed.

2006Bottle courtesy of kleyland and KieferUGA. Thought I had rated this; definitely have had it. Poured a syrupy black with smallish off white head. Aroma was really nice; coffee, cocoa, oats, and vanilla. From what I recall, some aging did the aroma some good. Full mouthfeel; a bit sticky and smooth. Flavor was really nice; had some barrel aged components. Nice blend of chocolate and coffee. Slightly sweet. Some vanilla as well. Overall it was fantastic; even better than I remembered.

2007 bottle at redlight. Thick black pour with big off white head. Oatmeal, coffee, and a weird hint of fried bacon in the aroma. Smooth coffee, chocolate malt, oatmeal taste that goes down really well. Really tasty, finishes very smooth. The aroma was just a little off, but it could of been the glass and yet did not take anything away from the taste. After getting a 4 pack, I found the off smell gone and nothing but glorious coffee, chocolate malt, and oatmeal in the aroma. Very good.
