| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Solid black pour with a thick brown head. Aroma is heavy espresso, milk chocolate, and roast coffee beans. Taste is more like coffee than beer with a sweetness beginning then hits the back of the tongue unleashing bitter coffee. Rich velvety smoothness with mild carbonation. Finishes with coffee and cocoa flavors. tpd975 (214), Riverview, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 10, 2009 A: Pours an ink black with a monstrous head that settles down nicely to a small espresso colored ring. This one is very carbonated, which I guess leads to the large initial head. Fine lines of bubbles could be seen racing to the top up until the very last gulp.
S: Nothing too special here. There are hints of coffee and milk chocolate, but nothing to really brag about.
T: I was surprised this is a great stout. Up front I taste fine dark chocolate, which is quickly over taken by the taste of fresh brewed coffee. It finishes off with just a little smoke to make this one taste good from start to finish.
M: I would call it medium for a stout. It is rather creamy which helps it to go down easily.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Draft at redlight redlight. Pours black and opaque with a brown head. Amazing aroma. Lots of rich gourmet coffee in the forefront, behind it some oak and a woodiness. On the tongue the coffee though still very present subsides just a little to allow some other flavors to come through: dark roasted malts, hints of root beer, and some bitter cocoa. Creamy, rich, and delightful. cprochak (419), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
