Aromas of (you guessed it!) coffee and oats with a roasty malt. Flavors start with a sweet roasted malt/ oat combo quickly overpowered by burnt coffee grains and soft sweet oat on the finish(full-bodied). Coffee bitterness remains on the palate. Nothing too complex but pretty tastey.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Draft at redlight redlight. Pours black and opaque with a brown head. Amazing aroma. Lots of rich gourmet coffee in the forefront, behind it some oak and a woodiness. On the tongue the coffee though still very present subsides just a little to allow some other flavors to come through: dark roasted malts, hints of root beer, and some bitter cocoa. Creamy, rich, and delightful. cprochak (412), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Coated the inside of the glass as I drank it. Aroma is roasted coffee mixed with some mild chocolate and cocoa hints. Flavor is a nice and smooth roasted coffee beginning with a smooth and very roasty chocolate and malt middle. Some light sweetness from the oatmeal comes through at the end. Very thick and creamy. Awesome beer. puggy211 (589), cordova, Tennessee, USA
