fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 1, 2007 This was a nice offering at the Atlanta Cask ale tasting. Though I am not a huge fan of the Wake-n-Bake due to its over bearing coffee. This cask was a little mellower and the vanilla oak really was nice and helped this beer out a ton. Nice jobs on this one. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Jan 17, 2009

pintocb (508), Darsville, Georgia, USA Feb 26, 2006 Updated: Apr 11, 2007Amazing beer. The vanilla chips really made a difference. I had it out of the bottle (edit: regular W & B) the weekend prior to the festival, and just had another bottle tonight, and there is a big difference. I feel badly for the folks that didn’t get to try this one. SpringsLicker (2041), Tennessee, USA Feb 1, 2006 Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting
Similar in most all respects to the regular seasonal with an added dimension of faint vanilla oak dryness. The cask version was poured from pitchers and lacked the thick creamy head it probably would have shown with a fresh pour to the glass. RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 29, 2006 On cask at 2006 Atlanta Cask Ale Fest. Pours black. Definite coffee and chocolate aroma with a slight amount of wood. Flavor much the same. Could have used some more wood-aging. Definitely one of the more full-bodied bigger beers at the fest. Would have been nice to have the previous Wake-n-Bake recipe on cask. jimbowood (947), Athens, Georgia, USA Jan 29, 2006 Cask @ Atl Cask Ale Tasting 2006. Black w/ great vanilla, oak, coffee, and chocolate notes. This is a really good beer. Every bit as good as Oak Aged Yeti. Best beer @ the festival by far. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Jul 9, 2005 Well, I didn’t originally add this one because it was a festival beer. Still, here’s my notes since someone else added it. Same great coffee aroma and flavor with the good roastiness, but the vanilla and wood complement this extremely well. I still wish it had better body, but this is tasty. goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 2, 2005 Poured from cask at the Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting. Poured black. Left a tan oily film on my glass when the glass was swirled. Big aroma of coffee and vanilla...mmm..cappuccino. Also notes of oak in the bottom of the glass. The flavor was big and roasty. Coffee, chocolate, oak, and vanilla (not as much as in the aroma). Long finish of coffee bitterness and a nice warming in the chest. The mouthfeel was very smooth and creamy.
