Very still, with an amazing creamy, thick, and long-lasting head. The head lasts all the way to the bottom of the pint. Taste is nothing special, with the most prominant taste of bitter. cjv85vmax (10), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA

It is very thin with minimal hop flavor and aroma as it warms closer to true cellar temp(55F). The color is a very nice copper/gold. I do like some beers smooth flow, but I think that the brewer needs to up the hops and malt content to make this beer more palatable. British ales are losing much ground to light Euro lagers all over GB. Hopefully CAMRA will find some way to pull a few Real Ale drinkers back to their side of the bar. Ingevara (527), Hindås, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 22, 2005 SMOOTH is the key word here. Small frothy head, tempting color, there is aroma enough to make you think of those good bitters you had a while ago but this one doesn’t give much. Some hops, some bitterness, but most of all:

Rather smooth and not as much of a bite as i was expecting (or hoping for). Still, can’t complain that much toemaas (1), seattle, Washington, USA does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 19, 2005 Hey, it’s not the greatest bitter, but drinkable and a lot better than some of the other reviews give it credit for. beerandrugby (210), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Nothing particuarily special about this brew, but nothing offensive either. Bitter hops, nice malt. Liked the nitro can. mstockton (186), Rochester, Michigan, USA
