Dec, 2002: Almost blandly smooth. This is a traditional Yorkshire Bitter. Up North they like their Bitter smooth and mild. This does have a soft fruitiness, with just a pinch of sour oak, and a restrained hop bitterness in the finish to mark it out as a cask ale, but otherwise is just too neutral to get excited about. April, 2004: The Rhydings, Swansea. A very good conversation lubricant. Not a beer to think about. [2.5]
June, 2005. The Cricketers, Scarborough. Sparkler. A steady enough if mostly bland session bitter. [2.6] TheBeerGod (3173), Newport News, Virginia, USA

Nose is mild hops, tea, caramel and faint sulphur notes. taste is bitter with mild hop notes and watered down caramel. Body has a medium feel to it with light carbonation. Finish is more hops and tea with faint caramel. kwik-lime (226), London, England
