If you want to taste how good this can be try it at this pub, top notch condition. Good full flavours, ok there is caramel, but this is a good old fashioned mild and a joy. Get to try it in a pub that loves it, you won’t regret it. DJMonarch (6854), Northwich, Cheshire, England

The aroma has some chocolateand fruity malts. The taste is malty and there is a lot of caramel. The body is thin but the beer is tasty - certainly much better than expected being a Tetley beer. Another great Blackpool pub - dark and smokey, with light cutting through in slopes - lots of wood panelling, brass, jugs and animal heads. The beer is stout coloured. There is a nice horse leather aroma which moves to washing up liquid before finishing with bleach. The body is very smooth with a subtle flavour profile- soft licorice and a hint of sea salt. Some gentle hop bitterness in the finish. [2.6]
Jan, 2005: Cask, Malt Shovel, Horsham. Thin malty mild of little character. Quenches the thirst. Inoffensive. [2.8]

My first experience with a mild from the cask as opposed to the keg, and I was impressed. I don’t care if mild is deemed an old man’s drink in Britain, this one’s OK by me.
A nice hint of chocolatey flavour and goes down smooth.
