imdownthepub (5086), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England May 31, 2008 Keg at The Running Horses, Maghull, Lancs. Black with tan head. We were out for a long countryside walk and this was the first pub we came to, not great and neither was the beer. Tart with thin body. Not pleasant, which created a dash to the next pub. Black and smooth on the palate with a slightly malty roast finish. SilkTork (4151), Rochester, Kent, England May 14, 2006 Keg @ <a href=http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/19/19360/Goat Inn/Codicote > Goat Inn, Codicote. Slight caramel. Not over fizzed. tastes a bit too clean and rather dull. Inoffensive and drinkable. Like a flat cola, but not as sweet. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Dec 4, 2003 On tap at the Church Tavern, Birmingham, and accompanied by an enormous steak dinner. This is a nice, and sublimely smooth mild, with an absolutely majestic white fluffy head which lingers nicely. The flavour tastes a bit plasticky for a kick off, but improves significantly on the finish.
