May 31, 2008 Keg at The Running Horses, Maghull, Lancs. Black with tan head. We were out for a long countryside walk and this was the first pub we came to, not great and neither was the beer. Tart with thin body. Not pleasant, which created a dash to the next pub.

Dec 4, 2003 On tap at the Church Tavern, Birmingham, and accompanied by an enormous steak dinner. This is a nice, and sublimely smooth mild, with an absolutely majestic white fluffy head which lingers nicely. The flavour tastes a bit plasticky for a kick off, but improves significantly on the finish.
