Commercial Description:
Keg mild.
Rich and dark with more than a hint of roasted malts and caramel flavours. A wonderful balance of hop bitterness and aroma, all captured in the one glass.

Keg at The Running Horses, Maghull, Lancs. Black with tan head. We were out for a long countryside walk and this was the first pub we came to, not great and neither was the beer. Tart with thin body. Not pleasant, which created a dash to the next pub.

Keg @ <a href=http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/19/19360/Goat Inn/Codicote > Goat Inn, Codicote. Slight caramel. Not over fizzed. tastes a bit too clean and rather dull. Inoffensive and drinkable. Like a flat cola, but not as sweet.

On tap at the Church Tavern, Birmingham, and accompanied by an enormous steak dinner. This is a nice, and sublimely smooth mild, with an absolutely majestic white fluffy head which lingers nicely. The flavour tastes a bit plasticky for a kick off, but improves significantly on the finish.
