Pours into my 25cl tulip glass with a frothy, almost creamy consistency, light tan colored head that settles out to be about three-fingers in height. The beer is a brilliantly clear, red-hued copper color, that shows a rich copper hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells characteristic of a widget can (almost tinny in its light beeriness). Slight butterscotch, a hint of toffee and a dusty, almost stale malt note that is very faint as well.
Very smooth tasting as the beer is practically dead of all carbonation. Definitely creamy in consistency and very light and quaffable, this beer just slides down my throat, almost without me noticing it at all. This finishes with a slightly metallic, light hop note. Faint sweet maltiness is noticeable after a couple sips at the fore of each sip; slight toffee, and a touch of caramel is what comes through the most. There is some soft, herbal hop notes to this brew as well.
At first this beer was really bland in both flavor and aroma, but the flavor picked up a bit after a short bit. This does seem to have a low level of diacetyl, but it is very mild and actually seems to add a bit of welcome complexity to the beer, even for me who is so sensitive to it. This is certainly not objectionable, though I am not sure I would ever consciously choose to drink another one of these.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 15, 2008 Nitro-canned. This one listed at only 3.6% abv. Muddy fruity aroma. Dense, creamy nitro beige head with a dark orange body. Watery thin body, very mild malty/fruity flavor. Slight nitro backwash at the end. Mild, basically flavorless, harmless beer, but heck, give me more! phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2008 a very smooth creamy beer a la cafferys or boddingtons. What is lacks in aroma and perhaps flavour it makes up for in mouth feel. Cascade pour is always enjoyable to watch and tight white smooth creamy head makes this an ejoyable beer especially when you are thirsty because it goes down so smooth. ronco (6), Canada does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2008 Quite surprised on the smoothness despite the dark colour. Slight aftertaste but makes for an enjoyable drink straight out of the tap. Had it on more than one occasion and would probably have it again. Slightly above average and worth a taste.
