because of the widget, smells of some roasted malt, faint malt sweetness, and an aroma similar to Boddington’s, may be the nitro widget that gives this
aroma, taste of some roasted malt (maybe), it was hard to tell, some taste of old dry leaves towards the finish, seemed like I was sucking on some leaves, has
an off finish and left a faint unpleasant afer taste, this ale was not past its best by date, maybe the hops were of poor quality,
this was not worth the money paid for it. SavageElvis (134), Savage, Minnesota, USA

Very interesting to open as when you pop the top you hear all the fizzing taking place. Pours out a clear amber with a small head. Aroma of more hop than malt. Taste was quite a bit thinner than I was expecting and overall weak. Low carbonation with little malt or hops. As it warmed it became undrinkable. Reminded me more of an American light beer than an English bitter. Maybe I just got a bad can, (old) but based off of this sample I would not have it again. Appearance: Pours a clear amber body with a dense, lush off-white head.
Smell: Nice biscuity malt aroma with an addition of sweet-smelling caramel.
Taste: Oh, what a tease! The aroma and flavor seem to be from two vastly different beers. Extremely muted malt flavor with just a bit of sweetness and only the faintest hint of English-type hops and bitterness. Geez Louise.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. It’s creamy, sure, but also pretty watery. After all the widget razzledazzle is done you’re left with no carbonation.
Drinkability: Easy to drink and it sure does smell nice, but it’s weakest area is, unfortunately, in the taste department. jnaos (11), Canada

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 16, 2007 500ml widget can. Clear caramel with a dense light tan head. Toasted nut and caramel nose, light grass. Watery body, very thin. Lightly nutty flavor, a mild bitter, almost chemical in nature. As with most nitro cans, pretty but crappy otherwise. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Seems much more like a mild than a bitter to my taste buds. Had on tap, poured with a nitro tap giving the beer that typical nitro head and soft mouthfeel. Balanced, malty, and quaffable but doesn’t rock the boat. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA

I think they sent back the coors we sent them and just stuck on a new label. I can hardly blame them. They must know what the general population likes to drink. Yellow fizzy water with a drop of alchohal in it. Meanwhile they keep the good shit over there. So I will rate this again. But in it’s home territory next time.
