Commercial Description:
Nitro Keg Ale and Canned Widget Ale. An export strength beer brewed specifically for countries outside the UK. It has the same smooth and creamy characteristics as Tetley's Smoothflow and incorporates a full drinking flavour. It is well balanced with a complex range of malty and hoppy notes, enhanced by a fruity aroma. Like Tetley's Smoothflow, it is served at 8°C to give extra refreshment.

500ml widget can. Clear caramel with a dense light tan head. Toasted nut and caramel nose, light grass. Watery body, very thin. Lightly nutty flavor, a mild bitter, almost chemical in nature. As with most nitro cans, pretty but crappy otherwise.

449ml can. Pours amber in color with full foamy white head. Aroma of malt and lite hops. Taste creamy malt with bitter finish.

Seems much more like a mild than a bitter to my taste buds. Had on tap, poured with a nitro tap giving the beer that typical nitro head and soft mouthfeel. Balanced, malty, and quaffable but doesn’t rock the boat.

Ah! way to be let down by my fellow country men. I think they sent back the coors we sent them and just stuck on a new label. I can hardly blame them. They must know what the general population likes to drink. Yellow fizzy water with a drop of alchohal in it. Meanwhile they keep the good shit over there. So I will rate this again. But in it’s home territory next time.

500ml can - pours amber with a thick off-white widget head. Sweetly malty/grainy aroma with fruity hops in the background. Flavour is significantly hoppier with some citrusy notes, along with caramel and grains. Very smooth and easy drinking, with low carbonation and very soft on the palatte. Mildly bitter finish. Almost no lingering aftertaste.

Not much in the way of flavor, but I’ll be damned if this didn’t go down easier than water. My can says 3.8% alcohol so that makes chugging a can feel that much better.
