Sort of boring, it’s got a little malt sweetness, not much of a hop profile (I think i’ve been desensitized to hops at this point though). Aroma is dingy hops and musty smelling. Overall refreshing, it’s not going to set the world on fire, but it’s not bad either. LordCorkscrew (983), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy

Uno zuppone amarognolo quasi fastidioso che mi veniva voglia di lasciar lì. robinvboyer (1442), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 27, 2007 Widget draught can, 4 pack on sale. Coppery amber pour with the lovely cascading effect, 1" lasting white head, moderate lacing. Faint malty aroma with a touch of caramel and cream. Mouthfeel is contradicting since it’s very light and watery yet creamy and smooth from the widget. Drinks very easily but is rather thin. Flavor is also thin with no complexities. Light malt, mildly bitter, plain and one dimensional. I doubt this is England’s finest ale as stated on the can. gunnfryd (3603), Kristiansand, Norway

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2007 On tap. Foamy persistent head. Light aroma. Amber tan. The taste seems more to mellow than crisp. Hops are present, but British hops seem more reserved than German noble versions. A full malt flavor, but only modestly sweet, which is good. Not a heavy or rich beer, but foam makes it taste creamy. A smooth mellow palate and finish, quite drinkable, but not really bright or refreshing. Most nitrogen brews seem to lack refreshing quality for me. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

Subtle malty nose, soft malty flavor with a mild hop bitterness in the finish. Nice quaffable beer. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 31, 2007 This was one of the weakest beers that I ever had. The aroma, mouthfeel, palate, and appearance were bland. All of the flavors were muted and had zero complexity.....along with a 3.8% ABV.
