Commercial Description:
Nitro Keg Ale and Canned Widget Ale. An export strength beer brewed specifically for countries outside the UK. It has the same smooth and creamy characteristics as Tetley's Smoothflow and incorporates a full drinking flavour. It is well balanced with a complex range of malty and hoppy notes, enhanced by a fruity aroma. Like Tetley's Smoothflow, it is served at 8°C to give extra refreshment.

Can, haven’t rated too many of those. Listed at 3.8 alcohol by volume. Can has a "widget" in it that seems to pressurize the beer with nitrogen when opened, creating a massive creamy head that settles into about 12 ounces of amber colored beer, with a thin off-white head. Fairly good hop aroma for a can. Tastes like water. Yep, a second sip confirms that it tastes like water, with a bit of hops and malt. Must be the foaming agent making it flat. Disappointing. It would be better without the widget and just carbonated at canning like most beers. The foaming agent seems to have sucked the carbonation out of what would have been a good beer.

A lifeless but still beautiful amber body with a thick white creamy head. A pretty typical nitro beer, no aroma, near prefect body, subdued flavor. The flavor is kinda sweet, and kinda fruity, with a little bit of bitterness. It’s layed back character, and lack of carbonation make the beer a refreshing drink, and it goes all right with dinner and conversation. But it fails in comparison to other nitro beers such as Guiness, Kilkenny, and Caffrey’s.

Nose of sweet yeast. Clear copper color with a thick frothy head. Cascades like a guiness. Initially sweet taste finishes slightly bitter. Palate is smooth and creamy like the can says.

My brother wanted to open this can from the bottom so he could keep the can. I didn’t realize there was a widget in there. Oops. Slightly hazed amber body. Mostly flat body due to the fubared can opening. But I don’t need carbonation! Mineral watery bitter hops with some slight Harvest Ale-like malt sweetness. Not a bad beer.

Lighter golden body with a nitro white head. Slight malty nose with faint hops. Taste was creamy and somewhat hoppy a slight metalic aftertaste though.

amber colored pour w/ a giant cascading tan to white thick nitro looking head w/ good lacing. Palate is pretty avg. Flavor is a bit bland lots of grains hints of stale cardboard.. some light sweetness w/ a dry grassy finish. Not to bad.

From a tap, a nice dark amber color complete with a thick creamy head that lasted until the last drop. Very bitter, malty and creamy. Not very hoppy. Pretty standard English bitter. A good choice if your selection is limited but a good pub should have something better to enjoy

Nice pale amber colour with a small rather short lasting white head. Fruity and malty aroma. Flavour has a mild toasty maltiness with a good moderate bitter hoppiness and some mild roasty caramel.
