It seems to provide a long lasting head, but the beer is not carbonated underneath all that head and I can’t smell any aroma. Flavor is very weak. It is hard to detect any flavors. Ooh, I had a hint of hops in the aftertaste. Very creamy texture, but not carbonated at all. I’ve had this beer on tap, but I don’t remember so many negatives. Perhaps I’ll try it again to see. Otherwise, I don’t see any reason to purchase the cans. gnoff (3574), Göteborg, Sweden

I rather like them. You should know going in that they’ll be a smoothness and expected semi-neutral flavor. THat’s what I’m looking for when I turn to these. The widget produces a frothy head built up nicely, the taste is pleasing to the palate and not overpowering. As advertised (for those who want more robustness take note) this is served smooth & mellow. Good with eating as a complimentary drink MarkBarnes (268), Waterville, New York, USA

Another ale in the vein of Old Speckled Hen, Wexford, etc.; and I would place this brew a length or two behind the former and a nose ahead of the latter.
A pleasure to pour and observe -- the lip-smacking creaminess being particularly inviting. Like a previous poster, I detected a "metallic" flavor seeping through the tasty caramel undertones, and suspect this element is also responsible for the bitterness that makes this brew interesting. garrettdeming (17), Apalachin, New York, USA

Poured out of the 14.9 ounce widget can into a pint glass. Beautiful head, accumulating in a similar fashion to Guinness. Roasted caramel-honey color. Completely flat, little aroma. Beautiful head, laced glass in sheets, lasted till beer was gone. YUMMY! Very smooth and satisfying, grabbed another afterwards. Thanks! destroye7 (304), Melbourne, Australia
