Like a younger bastard brother of Old Speckled Hen. Not horrible, mind ya, but not something I’d take to the barn to try a shag with my gal from Leister. Schultsc (486), Henderson, Nevada, USA

This is an enjoyable beer but not enough to make it really remarkable. Refreshing with a little bitterness and a nice, smooth mouth feel. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 4, 2005 Pours amber with a beautiful rolling head typical of nitrogen widget beers. Nose is faint grassy hops, very faint malt flavors, mild cream. The flavor is just like Cream-o-Wheat. Mouthfeel is very creamy. Pleasant, rather boring, reasonable bitter. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 4, 2005 Widget can. Clear deep amber pour supporting a classic widget-generated creamy off-white head with very good retention. Faint aroma of malt with a hint of summer fruits. Flavor suffered from the deadly duo of the can & widget but some toasted malt, hay, apricot & biscuit survived. Mouthfeel was creamy at first but fell flat rather quickly. Finish was not memorable. Overall, not worth seeking out outside of England. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 1, 2005 Nitro keg. Dark amber coloured with a thick creamy white head. Aromas? Couldn’t really get any. The taste I got was canned peaches odd to be sure but I couldn’t shake it, soft carbonation, mild bittering hops. An average pint. highlandlad (1278), Sydney, Australia
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 13, 2005 Better than I remembered. Poured a teak colour with a widget shaving cream head. Faint nuttiness to the generally malty nose. Widget creamy mouthfeel, like the whipped cream my dear old ma used to make. Flavour profile includes strong tea, a hint of cedar and a typical English nuttiness. Has some lingering bitterness but it’s one-dimensional. (Widget can) Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA

Can: poured clear amber with white head. No fruit on my aroma, mostly tin. was not extra refreshing, most have been served warmer then 8 C it called called for.
