It was creamy due to the nitrogen thing in the can but it was like creamed budweiser. Grosser than gross. Tin can tainted flavor. Just angering. Makes bodingtons look fantastic.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 10, 2005 This is a highly overrated beer! Aroma is creamy and malty but nothing really grabs me. Obviously the widget gives this beer a big, thick, white head that lasts forever and leaves lots of lace as you drink it down. It looks pretty good in a glass. That’s where the quality ends though. Flavor is bland! Has some malt character with a hint of ambiguous hops here and there but I mostly taste water, water, water. Honestly, I was hoping to love this beer and was drastically disappointed. I’m mad at this beer for not having more flavor; good or bad, doesn’t matter, the problem is that it is nearly flat on the palate. Never again! RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 30, 2005 In the can. Pours amber-brown with tight nitro head. Aroma of caramel and light amount of hops. Smooth flavor and drinkable; but thin. Nothing special. TheBeerGod (3163), Newport News, Virginia, USA

Nose is caramel, hops, lean malt, and light floral notes. Taste is more caramel and creamy malts with light floral notes. There’s a light bitterness to this as well. Body has a light creaminess to it due to the nitro feel and a slight lingering bitterness. Finishes with more caramel and floral notes. Not too bad but nothing outstanding. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 1, 2005 [draught can] Dark reddish amber with a long-lasting centimeter of jiggly shaving cream on top. Through the tinny aroma, there is some caramel and some floral hops. Taste is quite watery/bland but still a good balance of toffee malt and hops flavour and bitterness. Sour feel at the start and definite metallic sensation as well. I would like to try this on tap but I won’t have it again from a can. nick76 (2675), Tampa, Florida, USA

The hops are subtle but perfectly detectable. The cream like mouth feel makes you want to just keep on drinking. They seem to have it all well balanced.
