Caramel golden color - flavor and aroma mirrors this with some added toastyness and a very mellow hop. Body is thin. Muggus (193), Sydney, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 21, 2004 Can. Roasted malts on the nose with slight hop fruitness. Pours a darkish red amber with a solid settling cream head. Bit different from other beers of the style i’ve tasted. Bit more earthy and caramally than others I guess i’d best describe it. I’m sure this would be worth having a sample off tap. Not bad though. JPDIPSO (4932), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 18, 2004 Rather typical Widget pour. Copper color with a finger of dense creamy bubbles, which actually look quite nice. Mild floral hops and floor malt aromas, has a real sweet nose that starts to get sickening. Lifeless body. Not much to this one in the flavor department. LIttle malt and blue cheese is the best I am coming up with for descriptors. Moldy bitter finish. davidCC (130), New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2004 Dark golden color with a beautiful amount of thick white head which makes drinking this beer as smooth as a ...well you know. Flavor is a little lacking however. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 11/20 | Dec 9, 2004 Amber colored with a fine shaving cream head and lacing. Mild aroma-cidery and sour penny. Light to medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, dry with some caramel and woody notes, a little acidic with some bitterness in the finish. Not bad at all and I loved the texture. 16JUL05 on the bottom. thehipone (197), Australia
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Dec 8, 2004 wow, what a letdown with this one. It pours out to a beautiful looking pint with that creamy head that lasts forever. THat’s where the good stuff ends, it’s all looks and no substance. ONly the slightest whiff of malty aroma. it taste slightly beerlike, with just enough malt flavor to remind you that its not just colored water. A very weak watery palate. Seems like the bud light of english beers, it won’t offend anyone and you could drink a ton of these in a session. hershiser2 (917), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 6, 2004 Light golden amber with the smooth, cramy head of nitro-cans. Flavor is creamy malts... kinda smooth, but not overly impressive. donvitozou (141), memphis, Tennessee, USA
