No carbonation. Malty aroma and big malty flavor. Decent but I like carbonation in moderate amounts. Cornfield (4938), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 4, 2004 From the can - This pours a clear copper color with a huge, creamy off-white head. The aroma is of faint malt and mild grassy hops. Very smooth to drink, this has large malt tastes balanced by its hoppy bitterness. Has a lingering bitter finish. Okay. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 30, 2004 Widget can. Beauty of a cascading waterfall head, wettling into a whiskey-colored brew with a solid whipped cream head. There’s a sweet nutty aroma. The flavor is excessively bitter yet malty all the same. Thin mouthfeel. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 1/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 21, 2004 Widget Can. Sweet fruity aroma. Pale amber with a thick creamy head. What a beer should look like. Sweet and fruity with a bitter finish. Somewhat thin once you get past the head. Slight metallic tinge must be from the can. Something about it is off, but my can was a little old so I won’t judge it too harshly. I’ll rerate when I get a newer can. seeknay36 (109), Port Jefferson Station, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 9, 2004 Had both can and tap. The can pours as if it is a watery pudding. I prefer the keg. Not much of a taste to talk about, well an interesting taste that is. Has a smooth taste and a slightly bitter aftertaste. danid (3), Israel does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2004 used to be one of my favorites .I grew up in Leeds where they brew it.As my palate develops I still enjoy it But I have to admit that there are better bitters mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
