| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 7, 2004 Canned. Lifeless, hazy amber. Creamy beige head. Faint sweet malt aroma. Creamy, juicy feel. Watery malt & light fruity flavour. Mild tea-ish (though this could be completely psychological) bitterness in the finish. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | May 3, 2004 Nitro Keg Amber color; creamy head. Ordinary aroma; smooth taste, quite poor, just lightly malty-fruity. Unfortunately the final (strong bitterness) is paper-like and metallic. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA

The head is so foamy and gorgeous. unfortunately, the beer has almost no taste at all. it has a slight bitter kick to the aftertaste Skip (206), Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2004 The major issue that I have found is in finding this product in a fresh condition. When fresh, it is very good; when less than fresh, like all ales, it reeks. Inspect your purchase. Lubiere (4528), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 3, 2004 Canned. Lighter golden body with a nitro white head. Slight malty nose with faint hops. Key word is light for the tatse, with light malts, and faint salty aftertaste. Light body, read watery. Another lagery ale from the UK. PorterPounder (3137), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 2, 2004 Widegt induced pour seduces me everytime and rates a five - the thick creamy head and lacing and dark chestnut color top it off. Not much of an aroma - slight hints of cloves. Typical Bitter flavor, strong fuggles hops presence with a little bit of mint. Slightly buttery. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Always thought I had rated this one and passed it up several times as these English widget cans all start to look alike - was confusing with Tennents. invalid (302), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2004 One of my first beers. Creamy head, nice brown color. Smooth but not a lot of flavor crazyvin (1252), New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 22, 2004 not as bad so other say, but not great. from the widget can, strange armoa a mix of floral hops, metal and what suntan lotin? The hoppiness in the aroma took away from the negative aspects, but they where still there. Taste was creamy and somewhat hoppy a slight metalic aftertaste though. best part about the beer was thick creamy tan head, which lasted the whole time.
