Apr 2, 2004 Widegt induced pour seduces me everytime and rates a five - the thick creamy head and lacing and dark chestnut color top it off. Not much of an aroma - slight hints of cloves. Typical Bitter flavor, strong fuggles hops presence with a little bit of mint. Slightly buttery. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Always thought I had rated this one and passed it up several times as these English widget cans all start to look alike - was confusing with Tennents.

Mar 22, 2004 not as bad so other say, but not great. from the widget can, strange armoa a mix of floral hops, metal and what suntan lotin? The hoppiness in the aroma took away from the negative aspects, but they where still there. Taste was creamy and somewhat hoppy a slight metalic aftertaste though. best part about the beer was thick creamy tan head, which lasted the whole time.

Mar 16, 2004 Very thick head, due to the pressurized widget. Still enjoyable. I enjoyed it anyway. I guess you didn’t have to. But then again that’s what a great compromise is all about.

Mar 16, 2004 Keg, pasteurised. Brown with foamy head. Dead tasteless beer, awful nitrokeg with few redeeming features. Thank god it wasn't the can with a widget.

Mar 14, 2004 Really not my favorite bitter. The head is great with a nice creamy touch, but both aroma and flavor is borring.

Mar 6, 2004 Golden, with a great lasting offwhite head that is still in the glass after you finished the beer. Has a mild a somewhat yeasty aroma. Creamy flavor with some citrus and also some bread. Quite a mild finish.

Mar 4, 2004 Still don't like nitro's that much. Having said that I may be able to knock back a couple of these, provided there is nothing else left. Honey coloured with a full and lasting head. Slightly nutty aroma and also malts. Not really bitter enough for my liking.
