Having said that I may be able to knock back a couple of these, provided there is nothing else left. Honey coloured with a full and lasting head. Slightly nutty aroma and also malts. Not really bitter enough for my liking. willblake (2191), Belcamp, Maryland, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 22, 2004 Can. Pours and interesting beige cascade and supplies and ample, shaving cream thick head. Mild aromas of English hops linger over some toasted white bread malts. Not exciting smells, but appealing. The widget induced head is obtrusive, like a foamy gargoyle warning me to keep my stash away, but in I dive. The texture is wet and Guinness draught "smooth." This isn't my idea of what smooth should be in a beer (for that see Brooklyn Black Chocolate stout), it seems better suited for skim milk. No flavor up front but for a sugar water taste (like sweet tea). The middle is mildly fruity, like ripe figs and new bananas, not bad but uninteresting. Very mild hops finish it off. There must be something about nitrogen that ruins beer for me. It looks cool, but the body and flavor 'punch' suffer. I think this beer would be better on cask with a chance to exploit its nice balance of mild flavors. As it stands, I think that a number of subtlties are masked by the awkward texture. amx1970390 (466), Southampton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 15, 2004 Better than most widget beers. Has a nutty flavor. It is super smooth to drink, you could easily drink this all day long. I have had this in England, an it is better from a cask over there than in a can over here. Hoss (602), Florida, USA

nitro keg/can. watery and bland, ill say it a million times, they are trying to hide poor craftsmanship with nitro. very smooth because to the creamy head and alway fun to watch the cascade, buy a guiness instead, this stuff is the anticrist in the UK. the bud and coors that are trying to take over british pubs....refuse and drink a cask conditioned ale. jfm (1695), Holbęk, Denmark
