Perhaps I got a bad batch but I don't think so. It's a decent beer, just not quited tuned to my palate. It might grow on you though...

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 27, 2003 Medium amber colour with a thick, creamy tan head. Faint butterscotch and caramel aroma. Straightforward lingering floral bitter flavour. Creamy texture up front, watery finish. SDbruboy (1833), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Jun 12, 2003 Nitro can. Poured all foam, then eventually settled down into a nice looking copper colored ale with an unnaturally creamy head. The flavor was not bad, bready malts and light hoppiness, which gave way to a metallic, grapefruit peel finish (not so good). The mouthfeel is very strange and objectionable to me. Watery, soapy (thanks to someone else who used that apt discriptor) and void of carbonation save for that lingering nitro fueled Franken-foam head. After having a Boddington's last night from a nitro can and now this, I'm afraid that I'll have to just say "no" to them in the future. They really seem to suck the life out of an ale. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2003 Easy to drink English Ale. Nice dark orange color, short creamy head. Not much aroma. Bit malty and hoppy taste, quite bitter. Nothing special, but easy to drink. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 6, 2003 Draught can. Head is initially small, creamy, off-white, fully lasting.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread), lightly hoppy (flowers). Flavor
is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly acidic, lightly
bitter. Light body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nothing ruins beer
quite like nitrogen. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 4, 2003 I had Tetley’s out of Smoothflow can. The head on this beer is ridiculous; it is like a hoppy whipped cream, so damn thick you could write your name in it. The aroma was very metallic. The taste is rich and malty. Overall, Nothing to write home about, but worth the $2.50. guzzler67 (1289), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2003 Beautiful copper color and long lasting head. Mild, toasted malt flavor, with enough hops to keep it honest. Aroma started to come around after it warmed a bit - more of a grain than fruit.
