Commercial Description:
Nitro Keg Ale and Canned Widget Ale. An export strength beer brewed specifically for countries outside the UK. It has the same smooth and creamy characteristics as Tetley's Smoothflow and incorporates a full drinking flavour. It is well balanced with a complex range of malty and hoppy notes, enhanced by a fruity aroma. Like Tetley's Smoothflow, it is served at 8°C to give extra refreshment.

Taste 9/8 Widget Can(best by March 09). Looks: Silly nitrogen, tricks are for kids. Clear copper body with nice cascading foam. Aroma: A little yeast and malt sour. Taste: Makes boring taste exciting. Now with extra bland Creamy head, boredom and a little(I mean very little) bitter on the end.

Stale cracker malt backbone. Very mild hop accents, really cannot imagine an ale being more average than this. maybe a bit below avg because it was so stale tasting.

Beautiful to look at but abit bland and watery topped off by a very creamy head. Reasonably balanced. Biscuity in some ways.

Not the best bitter I’ve had but certainly enjoyable. Half inch fully lasting creamy head. Overall too creamy for my taste, but would have again.

On tap at the Black Badger. Nice place by the way. Not a bad brew but not something I was excited about.

Smooth/easy drinking. Light aroma and flavors consisting of caramel malts, herbal hops, and bread. Not exciting or all that tasteful, but I could probably drink a few more.

I actually liked this beer more than the other ratings out here. Pours a clear brown with a creamy head. Not much aroma, bland. But it did have a nice body, malt dominating and a creamy body. Enjoyable bitter.

I guess I like this one more than most. Pours a clear amber with a massive, building ivory head. Aroma is light, almost non-existent, but contains some sweet caramel notes. Flavor is very well balanced, with a bit of spice. Finishes a bit metallic. Palate is super smooth and creamy, finishing a bit dry. Reminicent of a well poured cask. Overall a highly drinkable session ale.
