Aug 25, 2003 Highly carbonated which made it seem like drinking with a knife against your tongue.Reasonable appearance but any trace of flavour had been taken away by the effects of a blow torch.
Why did they bother.

May 1, 2003 Hoppy light aroma. Deep red hue, decent foamy white head. Rusty malt taste with hop finish. A thin second rate ale.

Oct 25, 2002 Kinda red colored. Big fat head like me. Not really lacy. Definative caramel aroma. Caramel taste with hints of butter or toffee. Not very complex and a bit off balance. Dry finish without a hoppy bite. Not as good as the English ale.
