ladnewton (200), London, Greater London, England Aug 17, 2009 Cask at the Wenlock Arms on 16/8/09. Very dark brown-black with off white diminishing head. Main flavour is caramel/roasted malt and a few creamy lactic notes. Soft carbonation and a flattish texture, smooth drinking chriso (4683), London, Greater London, England Feb 16, 2008 Cask (handpump), Blue Ball, York, October 2006. Not the most exciting mild but I suppose if you are going to drink the quintessential Yorkshire mild you might as well do it standing at the bar in the tiny front room of probably the most quintessential Yorkshire pub. The beer is too innocuous to offend.
