| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 8, 2007 Draught. Clear amber with a thick and creamy off-white head. Subtle nutty aroma but nothing much besides that. Fairly standard malt flavours with a brief appearance from the hops in the finish. Creamy on the palate with a dusty texture. Certainly nothing spectacular, that is to say you won’t find anything new or exciting here, but it won’t offend and it is easy-going to drink. Pasteurisation and nitrogenation has failed to completely destroy the character of this beer. OK, there’s the regulation bath foam lacework and soapy bitterness, but also a mellow hint of fruity hops and doughy malt that reminds me of Op-Ale. Sniffs of wood, vanilla, biscuit. Almost enjoyable. faroeviking (6126), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
