Feb 24, 2004 The obvious place to find this on tap is in a German bierkeller in Malaysia. The fact that it is not a lager means that my palate is going to give it something of a bonus mark. This is a good amber colour with the beer engine head provided by nitrogenation. As such it doesn't last too long in this climate. The nose is butternut cookie with a hint of the English hop variety. Taste is fine, a caramel finish that is smooth and not overly bitter. Lacing in the glass is fine too. Aaaaah variety at last.

Jul 18, 2003 Found this my last night in England at a rather bargain price pub in the Paddington district. Nice amber color but watery with little hint of hops. A bit too smooth for my taste. Yorkshire's finest but not great. Hate to try their worst.

May 8, 2003 Draught: Clear amber coloured. Nice head. Fruity and smooth in the mouthfeel. Is medium bitter in the end.

Jul 29, 2002 Only got this cause the two cask beers were both tasting like prawns in vinegar. I always thought Tetley made tea. Looks like tea with shaving foam on top. Tastes like tea. THick, vaguely acidic, and bitter in a bad way, with a touch of banana ester which seems out of place.

May 11, 2002 This exceeded expectations. Straight off the tap (Westwood Country Hotel, Boars Hill, Oxford), it had a tinge of Guinness-like cascade in the head. The flavor is mild, but it had an interesting finish--hints of hoppiness? The palate was more satisfying than other creamy bitters; better than, say, Worthington’s. All very good for a macrobrew.
