| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 25, 2007 This light bodied premium beer, full of flavor, is proudly brewed in the land blessed by the Divine, the Great State of Oklahoma, which forever sits atop of texas.
That is what is actually on the bottle, not the business information given on the beer’s page. I wish the brewers had put as much thought into their beer as they did the name and descritption of this fizzy yellow drink. I didn’t get the skunk aroma that other raters did (fresher bottle?), but I did get a big whiff of sugary sweet corn syrup and (oddly) perhaps some lemon. There’s a slight sourness to the flavor, weak malt and corn syrup. Thankfully it finishes fairly cleanly.

Looks like a typical lager, but had a skunky taste. Being in Oklahoma, I am used to skunky beers at the liquor store, but this was extra strong. Despite that, the finish wasn’t that bad. | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Nov 30, 2006 Got this as a gift. Thank God I didn’t actually pay for it. Horrid. Poured a cloudy golden color with a thin white head. The aroma was citrusy as was the flavor. Too tart. Too much bite. Should be used to clean corrosion off of battery terminals, not drank. shrubber85 (3014), Wallhalben, Germany
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 25, 2006 Bottle (trade from jetzler). Sour lemon and malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with small head. Slight sour malt flavor - very much like an American Wheat. Light - nothing offensive. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Nov 9, 2006 Fairly nice appearance for a pale lager, translucent pale yellow with generous white head. Nose is rather stale malt. The flavor is a dreadful moldy malt flavor with no hops character and a burning finish. Mouthfeel like drinking water mixed with copper shavings. Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 13, 2006 Bottle 38F Lager. Sweet and slight citrus notes, smells of corn and rice syrups, very much a BMC type beer. Slightly cloudy yellow color, with a decent white head that kind of suprised me. A very metallic flavor, with plenty of syrupiness, no hops presence at all. Not much flavor either. Light palate finishes slightly dry. Well this beer is ok and should do well with BMC drinking Okies. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 31, 2006 (Bottle) Pours yellow with almost no head. Slightly malty, but thin and bland.
This beer sucks almost as much as the Texas Longhorns themselves. The packaging is neat, and it sells pretty well here in Norman even though it’s $8 for a 6-pack.
