| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Jul 7, 2006 Updated: Jul 19, 2006Some chill haze noticed when poured, straight from the fridge, and a very light yellow color. The smell still hits you... not unlike a Miller product, with a semi-sweet aroma of rice and corn adjuncts and simple wheat-like malt scents. Flavor is bland, pale, empty, just like a BMC product. Go figure. This is a stupid gimmick beer that some retarded marketing company is trying to pawn. I suspect that this is simply Pete’s Place Miner’s Light, but I can’t confirm that yet. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 25, 2007 This light bodied premium beer, full of flavor, is proudly brewed in the land blessed by the Divine, the Great State of Oklahoma, which forever sits atop of texas.
That is what is actually on the bottle, not the business information given on the beer’s page. I wish the brewers had put as much thought into their beer as they did the name and descritption of this fizzy yellow drink. I didn’t get the skunk aroma that other raters did (fresher bottle?), but I did get a big whiff of sugary sweet corn syrup and (oddly) perhaps some lemon. There’s a slight sourness to the flavor, weak malt and corn syrup. Thankfully it finishes fairly cleanly.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Cloudy pale body with a light white head on top. The aroma was orange peels with some decent flowers. There was also a little sour hint like faint vinegar. The taste was lightly tart with some orange peels and grass. There was also some biscuit covered with orange marmalade. Overall, not too bad, but strange. shrubber85 (2903), Wallhalben, Germany
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 25, 2006 Bottle (trade from jetzler). Sour lemon and malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with small head. Slight sour malt flavor - very much like an American Wheat. Light - nothing offensive. ChainGangGuy (2563), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Appearance: Pours a lightly hazy, yellowish body with a thinnish, white head.
Smell: Very faint maltiness and light whiffs of corn as well as some curious, cautioning notes of expired lemonade.
Taste: Light pale maltiness stirred up with corn kernels and light corn syrup sweetness. Slight, displeasing spritz of sour lemon. Altogether mild hop character and bitterness. For the touch of dirtiness present, it finishes mercifully clean.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Moderate carbonation.
Drinkability: Indeed, something sux here, though I’m not sure if it’s Texas. Contract brewed by Pete’s Place, a brewery where most of the brews seem a bit off. It’s one of those rare times when I’d rather just have a lager from one of the macro breweries.
