Bottle from Bierkoning. Nice red body with medium head. Nose of chocolate, malts and ABV. Taste is also malty with sweets. Nice chocolate notes. Syrupy texture and plenty of sweet...

Tap @ The Dutch Bockbier Festival, 2009.
Pours a lovely ruby-red with a nice, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has notes of cognac, nuts, chocolate and softly roasted. Medium carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lightly roasted, chocolate - a touch funky. Vinious finish with soft hoppiness.

Yellow, dense head, soon gone over fully hazy amber-brown beer. Wood, little bit of alcohol, apporting sweetness, some fusels in the nose. Sweet - with a bit harsh, roasted finish. Chocolate, certainly warming up, and something as leaves, laid up in sugar; After some time, speculoos (hard gingerbread). Very well-bodied, syrupy MF. A bit sweet, if I may say so. And if not, too. Big thanks to CK!

Bottle. Found at last, in the Mitra in Ommen. Dark brown color. Caramel, butter and a hint of raspberry in the aroma. Caramel, butter, chocolate cake and laurel in the flavor. Just a bit alcoholic, but satisfyingly balanced.

Bottle at WBF ’09 Gouda. Deep dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of sweet candy, alcohol, malts. Flavour is very sweet, candy, caramel, slightly roasted malts. Medium bodied. A bit too sweet for my liking.

Bottle @ the brewery, as Texels Ondeugd. Dark ruby brown beer, beige head. Aroma of raisin, caramel and liquorice. Flavour is sweet, roasted malts, some red fruits, brown sugar and an alcohol finish. Nice, but a bit too sweet.

Brown colored brew. Malty aroma. Taste is very sweet, sticky sweet, nice burned, malty, bitterness, some licorice. Thick. Lot’s of flakes of yeast. Nice winterbeer, but maybe a bit too sweet.

A little hazy brown colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma of caramel, malts and a lot of fruits. The taste of coffee candy , spicey some pepper with cardam. Several fruits like raisins. The aftertaste is gentle bitter with sweets.
