Light lager graininess with a stiff shot of alcohol. Finishes quickly, with a combination of lingering adjunct sweetness and alcohol. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium

Nose of rotting straw, decaying vegetable matter, a standing pool with unoxygenated water, sulphuric. Taste is both sweet, and again, rotting, sulphuric. God, but THIS is awful! And then it ends adstringent. Slick mouthfeel. Amongst the worst beverages I’ve ever come across. This is hell, I cannot finish the glass, let alone this huge bottle. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden

The label, which is a direct Bud rip-off, although in Thai letters, warns you for this beer. It purs pale golden and leaves a quick, bubbly head. The aroma is full of DMS and offputting like an old compost heap. It is sweet, very grainy, fruity and mellow. The garbage flavour is way to strong for me to even think about finishing this big bottle. The sink protests, but eventually lets it pass through. This is my pick from what I sampled, and at about 30Baht for a long neck, a bargain. jazz88 (2239), San Francisco, California, USA
