Bottle at Ace in the Hole, Graton. I found this to be odd for an ESB and not that good. Its a dark, hazy brown with a thin light tan head that dissipates quickly to essentially nothing. The aroma is mostly baked apples, yeast, a bit earthy. The taste is similar, being predominantly baked apples, yeasty bread, earth. It has little sweetness and almost no bitterness. I guess if one wants a beer that tastes mostly of baked apples and other fruit, this is great, but for me this was not enjoyable at all.

500 ml. Dark copper-brown with a small head that lasts well. Spicy caramel apple aroma is nice. Flavor is fruity - mostly tart apple, with maybe some grape and cherry, caramel and a hint of bitter green herbs. Light-medium body is watery and smooth.

Dark brown pour with a small tan head. That fades quickly. Aroma is vinegar, sweet chocolate sauce, and malt. It is a distinctive aroma. Thin feel in the mouth. Flavors include dark fruit, dark chocolate, caramel, hops, and vinegar. Bitterness is surprisingly mild. This beer made for a great sampling experience. It is unlike anything I have tasted and was full of personality. I loved it.

Mahogany pour with mostly diminishing head. Malty sweet aroma betrays a slightly hopped fruity malt. Good ESB.

Malty honey aroma, with hints of spicy hops. Pours amber, with a medium head that fades. Malty, caramel, barely detectable hops, with a metallic finish. I think this bottle was a little old? I bet this beer would be great fresh and cask conditioned. Not a bad esb.

Brandy, alcohol, and sweet fruit aroma. Burdendy-dark brown with thin sticking head. Sweet malt, berries, spices, and mild alcohol flavours. Balanced, malty mainly with mild bitter finish.

Vanilla and caramel aroma; small tan head; a bitterness and bit of roasted malt, though quite a bit thin; short watery finish is slightly hoppy.
