GABF 2004. Clear, amber-yellow in color, with a large, fizzy white head that is mostly diminishing. Heavy, robust aroma of grains, pine resin, grapefruit, and cookie malts. The hops are wonderfully balanced by a sweet malt that tastes similar to graham crackers. Very full-bodied, slick, and filling. Bitterness is heavy, and at times borders on harsh, but the malts really shine in this. Top notch.
