On tap at the brewpub. Pitch black with dark tan creamy head. 1/2 finger head lingers forever. Nice. Roasty aroma, with underlying maltiness. No off aromas. The roastiness is less present in the taste. A bit mild, to be expected at 5.3%. Wonderful. Not my favorite style, but done as well as can be.

This had a lasting tight head.Color a nice black.Aroma was of roasted coffee.Palate was a nice sticky one.Perfect palate.The flavor was of roasted coffee and not much else.I was hoping for that elusive chocolate flavor.Creamy taste due to the head which also complements the oatmeal ,Had an underlying sourness to the taste..Creamy like oatmeal.Finished bitter and sour.Decent stout,but needs that chocolate to be one of the best.Will buy again.Had on tap at brewer.
