Commercial Description:
The Bruery Batch No.1 - Levuds aged in oak barrels for 4 months.

From the brewer: "The last 5 cases of BA Levuds do not have wax and are not numbered. They just say Bourbon Barrel Aged above the label. We didn’t like the look of the wax, so we changed the system midway through."

750mL bottle. Thanks kegbear! aroma is malt with a definite lingering bourbon whiskey smell. The initial taste is very sweet malt which then fades into nice well balanced almost sugary whiskey taste. Very very well blended. This beer is fantastic!

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Cloudy, apricot nectar-colored ale with little to no head. The aroma provides very light notes of bourbon, and butterscotch and is just a wee bit acidic. The controlled dose of diacetyl works really well here. Full-bodied and oily with gentle carbonation. It’s sweet, but not cloying - tangy, but not tart – bourbony, but not hot – darn near perfect. Sweet, grassy finish. Big time thanks to giarcsr for providing the bottle of this world class beer!

Shared by Hopscotch at The Coffee District. Damn what a good beer! Unique as hell and good as shit! Pours a cloudy gold color wtih a small beige head. Aroma is cool but a bit odd. Wheat, yeast, spice and bourbon mix with some light lemony notes. Flavor is amazingly smooth. Sweet, vanilla, bourbon, spice, oak and some yeast. Quite an experience. I want more!

Wax topped bomber thanks to Hopscotch. Nose is wierd. Milky, with a hint of spice and bourbon. Pours a hideous milky orange. Looks like yeast dregs but this is from the start of the bottle. Flavor is thankfully amazing. Little carbonation but a huge woody bourbony vanilla note with a spicy complex floral middle. Finishes with bourbon and orange with a slight bretty sourness. What a crazy unique beer. This thing rocks.

Unnumbered bottle. Pours copper with a thin head. Smells of vanilla, bourbon, oak. Tastes of toffee, oak and boozy with a semi sweet finish.

Bottle at the RBSG09 grand tasting. Honey-orange color with a small head. The aroma is pretty interesting with a mix of bourbon, wood, fruit, and caramel. the flavor is sweet and malty with rich bourbon and wood. The fruitier notes of the base beer are a little overpowered by the barrel, but the combo is still pretty nice. Definitely cool to try this version.
