The aroma is roasted with lots of chocolate and licorice and a little spicy touch. Sweetish chocolate flavour, medium bitterness and a little citrus in the finish. rudolf (1758), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2009 Bottle, Goodbar beer club. Very dark body, tan head. Nose is yeasty malted milk, unripe berries, roasted stone fruits. Flavor is roasty but not burnt malts, yeast, toffee. Dark fruits & molasses towards the finish with an interesting tartness. Reminds me a bit of a homebrew Belgian Strong Golden Ale I once brewed w. a pound of chocolate malt thrown into the mash. emacgee (1864), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Pours a dark rusty copper that sits near black. Billowing and profuse moussey tan head that dissipates quickly. Nose is rusty, dark grainy, toasty, burnt popcorn, some earthy coffee. Flavor is crisp, light mouthfeel, starts with coffee roast and burnt popcorn and then follows with some subdued fruity esters. Similar to a light dubbel. Contrary to most Bruery products thisone is vigorously carbonated with a coating mouthfeel. PhillyBeer2112 (2086), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 13, 2009 A nice witbier but I’m not sure what character comes from the dark malts. Touches of phenol and wheat in the nose, and some distinct coriander. Vague fruitiness in the flavor. Pretty refreshing on the whole. argo0 (6891), Washington DC, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Oct 8, 2009 75cl bottle from Portland, OR. My first Bruery and hopefully this is not typical. Just seemed unbalanced and thin. Nice dark brown pour with a big cola head and lots of carbonation. Aroma had raisons, roasted malt and some bitter chocolate. The flavour and mouthfeel were super thin and the dry finish was unexpected. Decent but far from what I expected. Teege (85), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 8, 2009 Earthy nose, slight pungency. The flavor is very good: dark malts, black liquorice, nice funk. Very good beer.
