Mar 1, 2009 Draft at the brewery. Dark pour with a decent head. Some wheat flavors but more citrus and some spice. Decent but not as good as the White.

Sep 9, 2008 Big big foamy camel hair colored head at first but when it gone its gone. Sediment evident. Black color. Smell is strong wheat, spices, fruits, and sweet like. Taste is fruits, spices, and sweet. Easy to drink.

Jan 25, 2009 Nearly black with a huge tan head. Tart bready wheat and oat aromas. Light bodied with a frothy mouthfeel. Nice flavors of tart wheat, beady malts, with peppercorn spices and rich dark raisons. Enjoyed this one.

Jul 22, 2009 bottle. Pours a darker brown cola color. Roasted maltwith some slight coffee fill the aroma with some subtle belgian spiciness. Taste was roasty upfront followed by a wierd sour/tart twang that lasted on the tip of your tongue for awhile. was hoping for more with this being by first trip to The Bruery. Interesting beer though

Apr 15, 2009 Black with a huge tan head. Aroma is a light roastiness, soy sauce, yeast, citrus is an odd compliment to the roastiness. Taste is citrus mixed with roasted malt, yeast, light caramel, yeast, faint alcohol showing.

Jun 15, 2009 This dark brown ale poured with a thin off-white head and a malty aroma. The wheat flavor is evident through the darkness, and is rather sour. There is some spice and a lot of anise.
