Jul 19, 2008 On-tap at Stone. Pours dark brown with red brown highlights, smallish offwhite head, decent retention. Smells dark malty and bready, dark fruity sweet. Tastes yeasty and dark malty, some spice, some dark fruit. Medium, somewhat dry body, fizzy carbonation.

Jun 29, 2008 GUSHER on steriods!!! This beer oozed from the bottle for at least 5 minutes. Once through the foam, a dark chocolate brew appeared. Unique in that it exhibited both banana & clove, as well as darker qualities. More apparent were the roasted malt, raisin, and plum. A little thinner than one would want. Very flavorful.

Aug 17, 2008 750 bottle. Poured a very dark brown, light tan head. Malty aroma, a bit thin. Slightly sweet, with a little roastiness in the backround. pretty good.

Mar 4, 2009 Draft at Blind Tiger. This was the star of the night for me. Deep black pour with sizable mocha brown head atop. Mouth is rich dark berrys, cocoa, coffee and a slight hint of smoke. Mixed in the background - yeast and coriander tie this brew together. Bubbly, but soft..not astringent or aggressive at all. Everything works. Really, really awesome.

Jul 5, 2008 750 ml bottle From Holiday Wine Cellar: Dark brown, almost black with small fading off-white head. Aroma of black cherries with some belgian spice. Flavor is dark fruit (raisin, plum, cherries) with a peppery bitterness and fruity dry finish. Light-medium body is thin with very lively carbonation. Kinda Trois Pistoles like.

Aug 28, 2009 Pours a deep hazy brown with a foamy light brown head. Aroma is yeast, wheat, esthers, malts. Flavor is wheat, spiciness, dark grains, yeast, some dark malts. Interesting brew.

Jul 4, 2009 On tap at brewery. Hard to know what to say about this one. Almost like a schwarzbier crossed with a Belgian White. Chocolate malt and soft roasts come through, along with typical Belgian white spices (coriander, etc). Mouthfeel is light, clean, and slightly dry. An interesting offering overall.

Jul 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with off white head - tons of sediment at the bottom of my glass. Aroma is yeast, some farmhouse funk, and some floral notes. The taste is roasty - like a schwartz - but finishes smooth and yeasty. Great belgian beer.
