Served in a chalice, the beer pours a slightly hazy straw gold color with about a half inch white head. It smells like wheat, bread/dough, lemon and also a bit of an herbal aroma I can’t identify. The aroma isn’t tart at all. However, that all changes in the taste. Tart lemon and apple flavors show up first, and there’s also some wheat/grain and herbs noticable in the taste. Also has a nice lingering tart finish. Mouthfeel/body is light and thin, and it has moderate carbonation. Drinkability is excellent, it’s crisp, refreshing, smooth and extremely easy to drink. With the ABV being just 3.1%, going through a bottle of this is pretty easy. This would really be a great summer beer. This is the first Bruery beer I’ve tried, and it certainly won’t be the last. Sweet tart doughy yeasty aroma with apples, lemon rhubarb pie, mild celery. Mild to medium tart flavors of granny smith apples, lightly sweetened earthy rhubarb, cream of wheat cereal grains; love that grainy malt grist. Light and easy drinking. It pours a hazy dull yellow with a moderate fizzy head that fades to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with some mild yeast and citrus notes. The finish turns to a moderate lemony tartness. Very refreshing and drinkable. Light bodied with carbonation that started out rather lively and somewhat fizzy, but became much more mild midway through the bottle. kiefdog (1604), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Rating from the bottle, though I’ve had it on tap previously. Pours straw yellow with fizzy but quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is slightly stinky, with some lemons and wheat evident. Taste is lemony and grainy. Really tart on the finish and not too fizzy on the palate. Lingers well. I really love this beer...a wonderful rendition. I need to buy more of this stuff.
