Poured from a bottle covered in muck, presenting a most unusual lemonade yellow with a nose that drops two big ones, lemon and sun-bleached wheat- on the olfactory. I haven’t seen a head on a beer that big since this morning. Nice, white puffy cotton. Flavor really filters out the pollutants with a tart lemon juice begining and a Dom Perignon-esque finish that isn’t ashamed to told you where it came from. I love this mouthfeel, Larry; reminds me of the feeling of homemade lemonade in my mouth when I was a kid. And my dead brother. A beer that would go great with a steak sandwich and, a steak sandwich.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Tart lemony aroma with some lighter wheaty notes. The flavor has lightly tart lemon notes up front and some wheaty notes in the finish. Really good. This would be the perfect summer afternoon beer, but still really good in the middle of a snowstorm. bierkoning (6084), La Tropica, Netherlands

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 19, 2009 75cL bottle, no dates. Fizzy pale and yellow, stark white foam, very short retention but decent lacing. Very light on the aroma, some lemon rind and a slight lactic note. Very light flavor, little bit of malt/wheat with a heavy lacto finish. Not exactly sour, it has some lemony notes but nothing quite "sour". I still love it and would drink it with lunch every damn day if I could. chicagodri (1063), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Interesting beer. A tart wheat is a good description. Pours cloudy blonde with a thick white head. Aroma of lemon, wheat, and some funk. The beer is tart, but the mellow wheat also comes through. Interesting and a complex brew for 3.1%. blklab2007 (973), Connecticut, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Very light clear straw yellow; thin head. Very dirty aroma, overripe apples, sourdough, clay, flour. Very easy drinker. Very light, crisp. Flavor of tortilla chips. Delicate sour component. Saison Rue didn’t really hit the spot for me, but this one does. Really delicious! Don’t look now, but The Bruery is making some of the more exciting beers in the US right now. nimbleprop (929), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
