padrefan98 (592), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Sampled at the Second Anual Stone Sour Festival on 7/20/2008. Aromas of zest and very weak sourness. Tastes was faint and not to enjoyable. Boring for a sour festival.
fordest (1684), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jul 28, 2008 Sampled at the Stone Sour Fest. Not as sour as some of the other beer there. Aromas and flavors were definitely wheaty. Dry and tart on the finish. Not bad awaisanen (1131), Irvine, California, USA Jul 21, 2008 From a growler. Hazy, pale straw colored pour with a quickly dissipating white head. Creamy wheat notes with a hint of lactic milkiness. Light bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel with a soft, wheaty texture. Flavors of wheat with a light, refreshing tartness. Not as tart as other examples, but the flavors are clean and concise. A bit more lactic tartness would be welcome to add some additional complexity without interfering with the exemplary drinkability. Overall, a nice, light, refreshing beer that is enjoyable neat, and doesn’t have any unwanted funk characters that pollute the simple lactic tartness. Thanks for sharing, Ryan! Snojerk321 (943), San Diego, California, USA Jul 21, 2008 9th taster @ Stone Sour Fest 2008. My first Berliner so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Nose reminded me of eggs (seriously), some citrus. Finish was bone dry. wetherel (976), Carlsbad, California, USA Jul 21, 2008 On tap at Stone’s Sour Fest 2008. Cloudy light yellow color. Nice yeasty lemon aroma. Of the 3 that I’ve tried, this is the best Berliner Weisse I’ve tried.
