Commercial Description:
Orchard White is our Belgian-style witbier. We brew it with unmalted flaked wheat, oats, malted barley, corriander, orange peel, and lavender. This is a thirst-quenching beer that will be a year-round offering.

Bottle from Belmont in Dayton. Very spicy beer, as seems to be the trend with The Bruery. Aroma is heavily dominated by ginger and corriander. Flavor is light, citrusy, dry, and a bit tart. A good Belgian White.

Pale clear gold, nice head. Aroma is quite citric, notes of orange, and grain, pleasant. Flavor is quite light bodied, bordering on thin. Light wheat, nice citric note, and a floral finish. The lack of body really hurt this one.

Bottle. Poured clear yellow color with a large creamy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty spicy and herbs aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium to heavy spicy sweet flavor with a medium herbal sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

750ml bottle from the Binny’s in Downers Grove, Illinois: This poured a pale yellow body, a tad hazed, with lively carbonation - all buried beneath an overly tall, rocky head. The aroma, when it got through, was very spicy, a bit too heavy handed on the lavender. It reminded me of the smell of my late maternal grandmother’s toiletries. (I loved her, but was always greateful for a head cold.) The flavor was bready, dry with coriander, with just a touch of the citrus and, yes, loads of lavender. The finish was dry and left a mouthful of spices that required a serious Listerine mouthwashing.

Straw with big, foamy white head / Delicate, tart nose of orchard fruit, coriander, and lavender / Light body, moderately tart, with silky, resinous body and good, lingering finish / Muted flavors of apple, orange, lemon, resin, straw, coriander, and lavender / The flavors are a little more restrained than I would like, but very nice.

Pale yellow, big foamy white head. Smells clean and spicy, witha some yeasty, banana-ish notes, too. Very tasty - orange peel, pineapple and banana, some nice woodsy, herbal flavors. Very soft palate. Very enjoyable beer. I wish I had more...

Spicy citrus pale cloudy yellow with moderate carbonation. Sour hints a subtle reminder. Refreshing thirst quenching white. Very nice.

Hazed light golden color with a lasting white head. This is certainly a brew that should be considered a relaxing sniff. Lots of lavender with hints of orange and coriander. Little bits of dough, but mostly a floral scent. Actually rather dry in the flavors. Spice and citrus lead the way. Quenching, yes, but in a near sour and spice kind of way. I seem to be missing a malt component. I could really use a bit of pale malt or wheat sweetness to balance the spice out.
