Been wanting to try this for a while, and The Bruery really hits the sweet spot with this one. Gorgeous looking body, mostly straw golden with just a hint of darker color in there, and a sizable but not overwhelming head. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, without sacrificing drinkability. Sweet spice and funk in the nose, with a sharp biting quality that I like. That element is very much a prominent part of the flavor, especially in the dry, peppery finish. That’s just the way I like it with this style. And even if I don’t get much of the advertised brett in there, it’s still a really good saison. pineypower (1108), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA

Pours out a cloudy orange/golden color with a moderate lacing mostly white head. Aroma of yeast, spice, orange zest, grassy hop and some earth notes. Nice clean mouthfeel with notes of citrus, yeast, floral notes, spice, some pepper and a dry slightly bitter finish. Overall rather well done. can8ianben (913), Pasadena, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2009 I was really happy to find that they had this on tap at the LA Beer Fest. A lovely lighter beer - loads of spicy yeasty notes, a delightfully fizzy carbonation, a sweet syrupy aroma... this one was not really my style, but I liked it a lot. Another wonderful beverage from the Bruery. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Aroma is a weird, herbally aroma that does not quite fit to style, also spices, yeast and a little sweeter than a typical saison as well. Flavor has the same herbal charecteristic as the aroma and is a little bit dryer as well, a little grassiness. Medium body with lively carbonation. Drinkable. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA

The look is cloudy, apricot colored, and has a decent off white head. The smell is wheat, spices, yeasty, fruit, and orange peel. The taste is citrus, yeast, some hops, spices, malts, and wheat. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

The aroma is grassy, spicy, breadsy and lightly citric. Medium-bodied with a very creamy mouthfeel and listless carbonation. Leans a touch on the bitter side of balance – tangy and bitter. Any residual sugar is quite subdued. Bittersweet, spicy, mildly dry finish. Thanks to darkguardian for sharing the bottle!

Pours a very nice hazy golden with a good size white head that settles down, but doesn’t disappear. Nose is wheaty, grassy, slightly floral with hints of lemon and slight funk. Has nice carbonation and some slight bitterness on the palate. Taste is refreshing, yet the yeast and wheatiness come out with the pepper and lemon. Very enjoyable and the best beer I have had from the Bruery to date. Thanks Craig! BillKismet (1957), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Light hazy yellow and well carbonated. Herbal and delicately yeasty bouquet. Hints of banana and a pinch of lemon verbena roll in--though the lemon is not nearly so prominent as in their Saison Rue. Herbal body, lightly yeasty and wheaty. Bitter, grassy finish with the slightest bit of clove on the last wave of flavor. Refreshing and complexly wound.
